Job summary

Castelion seeks a Staff Dimensional Metrology Engineer to lead applied dimensional measurement across the organization. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, test, and quality to integrate metrology early in development and drive a metrology-as-a-service model.

You will develop novel measurement solutions, mentor teams on advanced techniques, and establish scalable infrastructure to support high-rate production while maintaining calibration and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on dimensional metrology experience.
• Expert-level proficiency with Polyworks or similar metrology software.
• Scripting and automating inspection workflows.
• Strong foundation in GD&T and measurement uncertainty analysis.
• Proven track record of developing novel metrology solutions for complex manufacturing challenges.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the hands-on technical authority for applied dimensional measurement and set site standards.
• Develop and deploy novel, fit-for-purpose metrology applications to solve challenges.
• Design or procure new measurement equipment to achieve efficient inspections.
• Support MSA evaluations and smart CAPEX decisions.
• Oversee calibration management and compliance with quality standards.
• Pursue automation to empower engineers and build scalable metrology data infrastructure.
• Mentor leaders, engineers, and technicians on metrology technology; drive cross-functional collaboration.
