Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Metrology Engineer to support a manufacturing work center in New Albany, IN. The role focuses on advanced metrology and inspection solutions, evaluating measurement technologies to improve automation and inspection delivery.

You will collaborate with tooling, operations, and quality teams, apply GD&T, CMM and optical equipment, and contribute to new product development and manufacturing improvements in an R&D-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytical, engineering, or technical discipline.
• 3–5+ years of experience in metrology, quality, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with CMM, KEYENCE, or optical measurement equipment.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

• Bachelor’s degree in ananalytical, engineering, or technical discipline
• Experience with 3D modeling
• Proficiency withCMM, KEYENCE, or optical equiptment
• Strong understanding ofGD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Ability tocollaborate cross-functionallyand influence engineering, tooling, operations, and quality teams

• Programming/scripting experience (Python and/or Java)

The engineer operates within an R&D-driven environment, evaluating and implementing measurement technologies to enhance automation, improve inspection delivery, and drive efficiency across production processes. Acting as a collaborative partner to tooling engineers, operations, and quality teams, this individual influences technical decisions and ensures measurement systems meet evolving business and product requirements. The role involves working with a variety of metrology tools and techniques including CMM systems, optical measurement equipment, and statistical analysis software, while contributing to continuous improvement in product validation and manufacturing processes.
