Job summary

Nova is seeking an Application Engineer to support metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. You will engage with customers to develop high-value optical metrology applications and apply robust statistical techniques to optimize results in high-volume fab environments.

You will provide on-site application support, train users, test features, and help introduce new products while staying current with process trends and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in materials characterization/metrology systems (XPS, XRF, SIMS).
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments (fab).
• 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop material metrology applications (XPS, XRF) for Nova’s products in semiconductor manufacturing
• Provide on-site application support to Nova’s strategic customers
• Resolve application issues reported by end users and service teams promptly
• Develop strong relationships with Nova customers and employees
• Test new features and propose hardware/software changes for new capabilities
• Train customers and peers on applications and Nova products
• Assist service engineers in troubleshooting Nova products in the field
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of semiconductor processes and trends
• Stay involved with new application solutions and products
• Perform demos and market Nova capabilities to customers
• Support development of new features and market penetration
• Support pre- and post-sales activities and marketing efforts
