Job summary

Nova Measuring Instruments' Global Business Group seeks an Application Engineer to develop high-value optical metrology applications (XPS, XRF) for semiconductor manufacturing and to provide on-site support to strategic customers.

You will apply robust statistical techniques, stay current with industry trends, test new features, perform demos, train customers and Nova staff, and travel domestically up to 25% to support field deployments.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field
• Strong fundamental knowledge of materials characterization/metrology systems (XPS, XRF, SIMS)
• 3-5 years of experience in the semiconductor manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Develop material metrology applications (XPS, XRF) for Nova's products in semiconductor manufacturing
• Provide on-site application support to Nova's strategic customer
• Test new features in Nova's products and propose software/hardware changes to support new capabilities
• Train & update customers, peers in the applications group and other Nova employees
• Assist End Users and Nova service engineers in troubleshooting Nova products in the field
• Perform demos and presentations to Nova customers as required
