Job summary

Alstom in the Pittsburgh area seeks a full-time onsite Methods Engineer. You will define and validate manufacturing processes for new products, create industrial documentation, and drive continuous improvement to heighten efficiency and quality.

You’ll collaborate across Process Engineering, Product Design, and Quality Assurance, lead retrofit process industrialization, ensure EHS and ergonomic compliance, and develop ERP routings and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Process, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• New graduates or up to ~5 years of hands-on experience considered.
• Experience or understanding of manufacturing processes and methods.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
• Experience with process documentation and improvement.
• Familiarity with Quality and EHS standards and Ergonomics.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, including work instructions and line balancing.
• Familiarity with Process FMEA and QRQC.
• Experience with time analysis methods (MTM, MEK, UAS).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for work.

Responsibilities

• Define and validate detailed manufacturing processes for new products.
• Create industrial documentation and work instructions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers, Product Design, and Quality Assurance.
• Industrialize retrofit processes after engineering changes, including routings and tooling.
• Lead continuous process improvements and APSYS initiatives.
• Develop and manage ERP routings and inspection instructions.
