Job summary

Alstom in West Mifflin, PA is seeking a Project Industrialization Manager on a full-time onsite basis. The role focuses on industrializing projects, coordinating design-to-manufacturing transitions, and driving QCD improvements across Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (mechanical, industrial, electrical, or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering
  • Knowledge of project management and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Familiarity with process FMEA and QRQC methodologies
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the Industrial Management Plan (IMP) for projects.
  • Define and implement the Project Industrial Organization (PIO) and Make or Buy (DAMOB) strategy.
  • Ensure completion of P-FMEA and Control Plans with Industrial Quality.
  • Monitor industrialization activities using IMFU and deliverables like manufacturing equipment and ERP master data.
  • Contribute to logistics strategy with the Project Supply Chain Manager (PrSCM).
  • Manage production planning during pre-serial phase and ensure internal FAIs for Serial Go.
  • Drive action plans to achieve Industrial QCD targets.
  • Perform gap analysis with the Reference Library and assess impacts on manufacturing.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the industrialization process for our projects, ensuring seamless transitions from design to manufacturing while driving continuous improvement to meet Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing), coordinate co-engineering activities, and contribute to defining strategies such as logistics and kitting, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Building and maintaining the Industrial Management Plan (IMP),
  • Defining and implementing the Project Industrial Organization (PIO) and Make or Buy (DAMOB) strategy,
  • Ensuring the completion of P-FMEA and Control Plans in collaboration with Industrial Quality,
  • Monitoring industrialization activities using Industrial Maturity Follow-Up (IMFU) and ensuring the completion of deliverables such as industrial documentation, manufacturing equipment, and ERP master data,
  • Contributing to the logistics strategy definition with the Project Supply Chain Manager (PrSCM),
  • Managing production planning during the pre-serial phase and ensuring internal FAIs are performed on schedule for Serial Go,
  • Driving improvement action plans to achieve Industrial QCD targets,
  • Performing gap analysis with the Reference Library and identifying impacts on manufacturing processes,
  • Planning and organizing the training and qualification of manufacturing teams, including blue-collar workers on special processes.
