Job summary

Core & Main’s Metering team in Virginia seeks a Smart Utility/Meter Specialist to support AMI/AMR and data-driven solutions. This hands-on role blends technical expertise with customer engagement, fieldwork and office support as you design and implement metering solutions for utilities.

This role involves 50% travel within Virginia, a base salary plus a 10% annual bonus, and a company vehicle. You will collaborate with utilities and contractors, lead product demonstrations, and help modernize

Qualifications

Experience in metering or utility infrastructure projects.
Ability to translate technical concepts for customers.
Willingness to travel within Virginia and work in field.
2-3+ years in related roles.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical expert for metering solutions with product knowledge and guidance.
Deliver end-to-end metering solutions with meters, AMI/AMR, and data software.
Lead demonstrations, training, and presentations for customers.
Collaborate with sales to drive solution-based approach.
Develop new business opportunities and expand existing accounts.
Liaise between customers and internal teams and manage expectations.
