Routes are assigned daily; you travel in your own vehicle with a handheld; weekly pay and vehicle allowance. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and working outdoors in various weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Walk 4–7 miles per day in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Read meters on assigned routes using a handheld device.
• Inspect meters and related equipment for damage or leaks.
• Document issues and report to dispatch.
• Provide courteous customer service and direct complex inquiries as needed.
• Open meter boxes and access properties while ensuring access is clear.
• Follow safety protocols and federal/local regulations.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and the public.
