This full-time, entry-level position involves conducting meter readings of gas and electric meters throughout the Central Hudson NYS territory. Candidates will need a valid driver’s license and should enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions. Qualifications

• Previous experience working outside preferred.
• Candidates with outdoor, retail or driving experience preferred.
• Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, and make repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately read electric and gas consumption meters.
• Inspect meters and connections for defects and unauthorized connections.
• Interact politely and professionally with the public and clients.
• Safely operate a motorized vehicle.

Skills

Ability to read electric and gas consumption meters

Valid Driver’s License and good driving record

Physical stamina to walk 1 to 5 miles daily
