Qualifications

• Previous experience working outside preferred.
• Candidates with outdoor, retail or driving experience preferred.
• Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, and make repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately read electric and gas consumption meters.
• Inspect meters and connections for defects and unauthorized connections.
• Interact politely and professionally with the public and clients.
• Safely operate a motorized vehicle.

Position Summary

Essential Job Functions

• Safely and accurately read electric and gas consumption meters
• Inspect meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections
• Polite and professional interactions with the public and clients
• Must have the ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle.

Position Qualifications

• Previous experience working outside
• Ability to walk between 1 to 5 miles each day
• Enjoy working outdoors in various types of weather and terrain such as wooded, urban and rural areas.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
• Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push and/or pull, twist and make repetitive hand movements. Sitting or standing for prolonged period of time required. Complies with all safety rules and regulations set forth by PPS
• Must have high school diploma or GED
