Job summary

City of Edinburg in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Meter Reader to perform accurate reading, installation, removal, repair and maintenance of water meters. The role includes handling customer notifications and supporting water service reliability in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Must have a valid Texas Class C driver's license. Preferred TCEQ Class C or higher Water Distribution License.

Responsibilities

• Read meters accurately and perform maintenance/repairs as needed.
• Notify customers when water will be off for repairs and document daily work.
