Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical/electronic technology or four years of related work experience.
• Qualified backgrounds include substation, metering, instrumentation, controls, power systems, or electrical maintenance with hands-on testing experience.
• Roles examples: Meter Specialist, Meter Technician, Field Network Technician or substation field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Read meters on schedule for cycle billing.
• Install, remove, disconnect, and reconnect meters.
• Test single phase, network, and polyphase meters for proper operation and accuracy.
• Program meters.
• Handle disconnections/reconnections for non-payment.
• Investigate irregular usage and energy diversion.
• Repair meters, meter sockets, and enclosures.
• Order, receive, ship, store, and inventory meters and equipment.
• Work from ladders and elevated platforms.
