Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a full-time Metalworking Field Application Specialist in Sandy, UT. You will manage projects focused on implementation, productivity improvements, and supply chain efficiencies for Fastenal and end users.

You will work with a metalworking team to test processes, identify parts, and ensure supply chain continuity at customer sites with strong technical support and customer service focus. 50%+ travel is required.

Qualifications

• Requires degree/certificate in CNC, machining, business or operations OR 2+ years of related work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrate strong technical aptitude in machining and tooling.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ with overnights required.
• Lift, carry, and handle up to 75 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support customer implementation programs onsite to drive revenue.
• Create supply chain efficiencies to reduce operating costs and document savings.
• Drive margin improvement through conversions and higher profit dollars.
• Collaborate with metalworking team to deliver advanced technical support at customer sites.
