Job summary

PMX Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to provide technical support for production. You will perform mechanical and dimensional testing on metal samples following ASTM specifications and work instructions, using routers and power tools to shape samples, and prepare analyses of chemical compositions.

Responsibilities include data entry, communicating results, and maintaining databases; plus preventive maintenance and calibration of test equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Science-related field or 3 years of laboratory experience required.
• Manufacturing or metals experience preferred.
• General PC and software understanding.
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.
• Proper use of testing equipment and familiarity with ASTM methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and dimensional testing of metal samples per instructions and ASTM specs.
• Operate router, shear, and small power tools to shape samples.
• Prepare and analyze solid metal samples for chemical composition.
• Enter data and report test results to required parties; maintain databases.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on test equipment.
• Maintain retention sample inventory for required intervals.
• Support Quality and R&D with special testing protocols.
• Fulfill other assigned duties.
