Job summary

Nox Metals, a Detroit-based metals technology company, is seeking a Factory Technician for the 2nd weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 7 PM–7 AM). You will operate CNC equipment, saws, and material handling systems while loading and inspecting aluminum parts to spec.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems.
• Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to spec.
• Run forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Follow cut lists and production schedules with precision.
• Take a clean handoff from the weekday team and prep for Monday.
• Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders.
• Package, label, and stage outbound shipments.
• Record cut data and job completions in our software systems accurately.
• Always ask questions, never guess when unclear.
• Look at every process and find ways to improve it.
• Keep the floor clean, organized, and production-ready.
• Work safely every shift and hold teammates to the same standard.

Shift hours: Friday to Sunday, 7PM to 7AM

You will:

• Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems

• Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to spec

You are:

• Knowledgeable or experienced in a factory, metals service center, bandsaws, industrial saws, CNC equipment, or skilled trades

• Committed to safety, you follow every protocol, wear your PPE, and never cut corners that put people at risk

• Always thinking about how to make processes better, you do not accept "this is how we have always done it"

Nice to have:

• Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
