Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Lead Production Technician for the Weekend Second Shift (Fri–Sun) to lead a team of technicians and welders building electromechanical parts with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery.

You will collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop techniques, perform hardware builds per procedures, troubleshoot discrepancies, and uphold safety and housekeeping standards while providing feedback during biannual reviews.

Qualifications

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand or sit for extended periods; occasional stooping and typing.
• Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, and support training of technicians and welders to build electromechanical parts with focus on quality, cost and delivery.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technicians to develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Perform production hardware builds according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions based on scheduling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Use torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers and a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ensure all technicians adhere to safety and work area cleanliness standards.
• Be an active stakeholder for feedback to supervisor during biannual performance reviews.
• Perform other related job duties as assigned by management.

Lead Production Technician - Weekend Second Shift (Fri, Sat, Sun)

• Hire, lead, and support training of a team of technicians and welders to build electromechanical parts and assemblies with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team of manufacturing engineers and technicians to develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques and processes
• Perform production hardware builds according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions based on scheduling
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on continuous improvement
• Use various mechanical and precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers and a variety of hand and power tools
• Ensure all technicians are adhering to safety and work area cleanliness standards
• Be an active stakeholder for feedback to supervisor during biannual performance reviews
• Perform other related job duties related to the job, as assigned by management

Requirements

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Perform activities such as stooping, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time
• Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics
• Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
