Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Technical Sales Representative in New Castle, PA for a fast-growing metals company. The role blends technical advisory with relationship-building to drive growth from inquiry to delivery.

Responsibilities include engaging customers, pricing, planning steel ingot and billet production, staying current on steelmaking, and coordinating with internal teams. Will travel locally, nationally, and internationally.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of sales or marketing experience in metals is a plus.
• Strong ability to translate technical processes for customers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and nationally (25–30%).

Responsibilities

• Engage customers as a technical advisor and grow sales across units.
• Review inquiries, establish pricing, and develop process plans for steel ingot and billet production.
• Stay current on steelmaking processes to support customers and sales staff.
• Oversee orders, scheduling, and product disposition from inquiry to delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams and step in to support the Sales Director when needed.
