Markent Personnel is assisting a fast-growing metals company in New Castle, PA to hire a Technical Sales Representative. The role combines technical expertise with client relationship building to drive growth through the order cycle.

You’ll advise customers on steel ingot and billet production, partner with the Sales Director, and support multiple units while maintaining high service standards and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required; Metallurgy or Materials Science strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of sales or marketing experience in steel or metals is a plus.
• Translate complex processes into customer-focused solutions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 25–30% locally, nationally, and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical advisor and trusted partner to customers across units.
• Collaborate with the Director of Sales to drive business from inquiry to delivery.
• Review inquiries, establish pricing, and develop process plans for steel production.
• Oversee orders, scheduling, and product disposition to ensure smooth execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and customer service.
