Allegheny Millwork is seeking a Metals Manager to lead procurement of architectural metalwork from kickoff through delivery and installation. You will coordinate with Project Managers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure on-time fabrication, accurate lead times, and compliant deliveries for high-end projects, including casino, hospitality, and specialty installations.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Structural/Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in metal purchasing, supply chain roles in metal fabrication, or custom manufacturing.
• Experience reading CSI Division 05 specs: rails, ornamental metalwork, decorative panels and custom elements.
• Hands-on knowledge of fabrication: MIG/TIG welding, CNC plasma/waterjet cutting, press brake forming, coatings.
• Ability to interpret architectural/structural drawings, shop drawings, and BIM models.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Innergy, NetSuite or similar).

Aufgaben

• Identify scope, milestones, and fabrication resource requirements at project kickoff.
• Build and own metals production schedule with Project Manager coordination.
• Issue weekly reports and manage schedule slip before impacts occur.
• Select vendors based on material availability, lead time, cost, and past performance.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts; support CORs and pricing changes.
• Track costs against estimates; contribute to monthly forecast.
• Oversee sourcing strategies and onboard new vendors for all Allegheny Millwork projects.
• Coordinate third-party inspection, testing, and certification requirements.
