Job summary

Finish metal parts by painting, grinding, deburring, phosphating, and cold rolling; rotate into other departments, train new operators, level up to overhead crane operation, and maintain spotless work areas in the warehouse, shop, and yard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety rules and best practices.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong communicator with a team-first, dependable approach.
• Willingness to learn and solid technical aptitude.
• Current forklift license; crane training provided.
• Experience loading/unloading trucks and general shop cleanup.
• Painting and grinding capability; comfort with surface finishing (shot peen, cold roll, phosphating).
• Shop math skills and accurate tape measure reading.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy forklifts to lift, move, and stack materials.
• Partner with shipping/receiving to load/unload trucks and verify counts.
• Inspect forklifts and report maintenance needs.
• Champion safety standards and coach others.
• Work with the team to smooth workflow and boost throughput.
• Log inventory movements and equipment use with precision.
• Help train new operators on safe, efficient practices.
• Expand capabilities by rotating into other departments as needed.
• Finish metal parts: paint, grind, deburr, phosphate, and cold roll; support surface finishing.
• Level up to overhead crane operation and learn additional machinery.
