Job summary

Archimetis is seeking a Process Metallurgist with 8+ years of hands-on metals experience to serve as the metals domain authority on client engagements. You will diagnose high-value operational challenges in steel, aluminum, and copper facilities and translate metallurgical knowledge into AI-enabled solutions.

You will work onsite with process engineers and plant leaders to define credible KPI frameworks, help shape product directions, and mentor a growing metals team as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on process metallurgy across steel, aluminum, or copper operations.
• Experience advising customers and leading technical workstreams in a consulting/tech context.

Responsibilities

• Be the Metals Authority for engagements, spanning primary to secondary production.
• Lead on-site technical discovery with process engineers and plant managers to identify root causes of variability.
• Translate metallurgical knowledge into concrete feature requirements, KPIs, and process configurations.
• Drive tangible value by reducing scrap, improving yield, and lowering energy intensity.
• Build reusable metallurgical playbooks and domain content for faster future deployments.
• Influence the product roadmap by voicing metals customer needs to Product and Engineering.
• Grow the metals practice by mentoring junior specialists and helping recruit new team members.
