Job summary

Archimetis seeks a Process Metallurgist who will be the metals authority for steel, aluminum, and copper operations. You will embed with customers to diagnose high-value metallurgical challenges and translate domain knowledge into AI-powered guidance on our platform.

You will work closely with Forward Deployed Engineers to ensure solutions are technically sound, operationally meaningful, and deliver measurable business impact across plants and processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in process metallurgy across multiple metals value chain segments.
• Breadth across primary and secondary operations from furnace to finishing.
• Proven customer-facing experience advising clients or leading technical workstreams.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical detail into business impact.
• Fluency with process data and production logs; able to interrogate data and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Be the Metals Authority across the metals value chain—from smelting to finishing.
• Lead on-site technical discovery with process engineers, metallurgists, and plant managers.
• Translate metallurgical knowledge into concrete feature requirements and KPI frameworks.
• Drive customer outcomes with Forward Deployed Engineers to show tangible value (reduced scrap, improved yield, energy efficiency).
• Codify learnings into reusable frameworks and contribute to product roadmaps.
