Plascore in Zeeland, MI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (1st shift, M-F, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM) in the Metals division. You will maintain plant equipment, rebuild or adapt machinery, and perform general building and site maintenance to ensure reliable manufacturing operations.

The role requires 1–2 years of maintenance experience, basic electrical skills, and a readiness to work overtime as needed. Plascore offers extensive benefits and employee programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of progressively more responsible maintenance experience.
• Electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment in the business unit.
• Keep equipment in safe operating conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Install new equipment as required.
• Minor repairs to fork trucks as required.
• Perform safety inspections on equipment.
• Schedule repair work based on production needs.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical problems and simple controls.
• Fabricate fixtures, guards or parts to maintain or improve equipment.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, welding to maintain equipment.
