Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines seeks a Metallurgy Superintendent for the Carlin Complex Operations to lead process metallurgy initiatives and drive safe, cost-effective production. You will partner with Operations and Maintenance to optimize performance while ensuring strict metallurgical controls and accounting adherence.

Reporting to the Metallurgy Manager, you will balance daily delivery with future process improvements, mentor technical staff, and advance projects from conception through design in a

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical engineering or Metallurgical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in a specialty area with leadership in technical teams.
• Experience with unit operations: roasters, autoclaves, acid plants, CIL/CIP, flotation, comminution, water treatment.
• Strong knowledge of gold pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy; experimental design.
• Project management principles beneficial.
• Experience supervising technical staff and presenting high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership and uphold Zero Harm Workplace values.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance across plant operations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and Environmental teams to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Lead and coach technical teams on improvement projects and process optimization.
• Deliver metallurgical excellence and accurate gold/silver allocation per accounting standards.
• Report to Metallurgy Manager and support strategic process initiatives.
