Job summary

Johnson Matthey is seeking a Metallurgist II to lead materials development and research projects from concept through delivery, applying physical metallurgy to support R&D and manufacturing operations. You will plan, execute and analyze experiments and production trials, and collaborate with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of physical metallurgy and metal processing methods.
• Industrial experience within metallurgy, materials development or manufacturing.
• Experience leading technical projects and managing priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and build effective stakeholder relationships.

The role

• Lead materials development and research projects from concept through delivery.
