Johnson Matthey Inc. is seeking a Material Handler in West Whiteland, PA to support material handling, weighing and inventory control across Supply Chain, Production and Logistics.

You will help ensure on-time delivery targets and maintain stringent safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, team collaboration, and proactive participation in continuous improvement while adhering to EH&S guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience in material handling, logistics, warehousing or a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office and inventory/ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures and take ownership of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle, process and ship precious metal materials with accurate transaction records.
• Support material flow across Supply Chain, Production and Logistics to achieve OTIF delivery targets.
• Perform material weighing, inventory management, stock verification and physical inventories.
• Ensure shipments are packed, documented and transported safely and in compliance with requirements.
• Maintain EH&S, security and quality compliance; assist with equipment checks and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job title: Material Handler Location: West Whiteland, PA At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Material Handler, you'll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you'll help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life‑saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.

The role:

• Handling, processing and shipping precious metal materials while maintaining accurate transaction records.
• Supporting material flow across Supply Chain, Production and Logistics to help achieve OTIF delivery targets.
• Performing material weighing, inventory management, stock verification and physical inventory activities.
• Ensuring all shipments are packed, documented and transported in line with safety, security and regulatory requirements.
• Maintaining compliance with EH&S standards, security procedures and quality requirements.
• Assisting with equipment checks, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
