Job summary

Eaton's AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division in Euclid, OH is seeking a Lab Technician to conduct materials testing in support of Eaton-Euclid manufacturing and Eaton Aerospace Labs' external sales.

The role involves preparing, analyzing and documenting metallurgical and chemical lab tests, maintaining equipment, and assisting with procedures, with a salary range of 69,000 to 101,000 USD and a variable incentive program.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a laboratory, manufacturing or testing environment.
• Must be a U.S. person due to export controls and eligibility for that information.
• No employment sponsorship offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metallographic specimens (sectioning, mounting and polishing).
• Evaluate specimens per test procedures (case depth, IGA, grain size, weld evaluation).
• Perform hardness testing (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, Knoop).
• Assist with SEM analysis and mechanical testing as needed.
• Document test results and prepare test reports.
• Maintain lab equipment and environment.
• Communicate with supervision and sales in a precise, logical manner.
• Assist with manufacturing process troubleshooting and process control.
• Review industry specifications related to lab testing.
