Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Euclid, OH facility is seeking a Lab Technician to conduct materials testing in support of manufacturing and external sales. You will prepare, analyze and document metallurgical and chemical lab tests, maintain equipment, and assist with process troubleshooting.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree and at least two years in a lab or similar setting. The role includes a salary range of $69,000–$101,000 with eligibility for a variable incentive program.

Qualifications

• Associate degree; minimum two years in a lab, manufacturing or testing environment.
• Experience with lab procedures and materials testing preferred.
• Ability to analyze and document test results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metallographic specimens (sectioning, mounting and polishing).
• Evaluate specimens per test procedures (case depth, IGA, grain size, weld evaluation).
• Perform hardness testing (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, Knoop).
• Assist with SEM analysis as needed.
• Assist with mechanical testing as needed.
• Document test results and prepare test reports.
• Maintain lab equipment and environment.
• Communicate with supervision and sales clearly and precisely.
• Assist with manufacturing process troubleshooting and process control.
• Review industry specifications related to lab testing.
