Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Euclid, OH facility is seeking a SEM Lab Technician to support materials testing for Eaton-Euclid manufacturing and Eaton Aerospace Labs. You will prepare, analyze, and document metallurgical samples and operate SEM equipment while maintaining lab safety and procedures.

The role offers a competitive salary range with a variable incentive program. Preference given to candidates within 50 miles of Euclid, OH, and to those with SEM/metallography experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in a laboratory, manufacturing or testing environment.
• U.S. export regulations apply; applicant must be a U.S. person.
• No relocation benefit; only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Euclid, OH will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metallographic specimens (sectioning, mounting and polishing).
• Evaluate specimens per test procedures (e.g., case depth, IGA, grain size, weld evaluation).
• Perform hardness testing (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, Knoop).
• Assist with SEM analysis.
• Assist with mechanical testing as needed.
• Document test results and prepare test reports.
• Maintain lab equipment and environment.
• Communicate clearly with supervision and sales teams.
