Job summary

Eaton’s AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division in Euclid, OH is seeking a SEM Lab Technician to support metallurgical and SEM analysis for manufacturing and external sales. The role will prepare specimens, evaluate test results, and help maintain lab equipment.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree and at least two years in a lab or manufacturing setting, with SEM/metallography experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in a laboratory, manufacturing or testing environment.
• Export-regulation and sponsorship limitations apply; candidate must be a U.S. person.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metallographic specimens (sectioning, mounting and polishing).
• Evaluate specimens per test procedures (case depth, IGA, grain size, weld evaluation).
• Perform hardness testing (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, Knoop).
• Assist with SEM analysis.
• Document test results and prepare test reports.
• Maintain lab equipment and environment.
• Communicate clearly with supervision and sales.
