Shively Bros is seeking a Metallurgical Lab Technician in Toledo, OH to prepare heat-treated components and conduct testing on material structures, hardness, and case depth using specialized metallurgical equipment. You will generate charts and reports for metallurgical processes, ensure compliance with safety guidelines, and operate lab equipment with routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to prepare reports.
• Commitment to safety guidelines and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform metallurgical testing to analyze material structure, hardness (micro-hardness), case depth, and related tests.
• Ensure tests meet specifications and deadlines.
• Review results, prepare reports, and approve materials based on criteria.
• Communicate results to the lab supervisor and plant management.
• Develop and maintain charts and reports for metallurgical processes.
