Job summary

MissionHires is searching for a Metallurgical Engineer in New Castle, PA, to oversee all metallurgical aspects of products from inquiry to post-shipment support. You will review customer specifications, ensure compliance, provide technical guidance, and lead product development. Regional travel is required.

The ideal candidate will need a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering and a minimum of five years of experience in ferrous metallurgy, especially with heavy sections. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ferrous metallurgy, preferably with heavy sections.
• Experience with Nickel (Ni) and Titanium (Ti).
• Strong PC skills and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and comment on customer material specifications.
• Conduct order reviews to verify metallurgical requirements.
• Provide technical support to Sales and Operations.
• Lead product and process development initiatives.
• Investigate customer claims and provide recommendations.
• Analyze internal non-conformances and mechanical test failures.
• Support customers with post-shipment technical service.
