Summary
The Materials Evaluation Lab Technician I supports TSMD’s laboratories and technical teams with sample preparation, test execution, data analysis, and project support.
The role involves characterizing the microstructure and physical properties of TSMD’s products using methods such as optical and scanning electron microscopy, EBSD, X-ray diffraction, hardness testing, tensile/yield strength testing, and image analysis. Responsibilities include preparing samples, operating test equipment, maintaining equipment, and interfacing with laboratory information systems. The environment involves working with power tools, polishing equipment, acids, and solvents within ISO14001/ISO9001 standards.

Education
High school diploma required; an Associate’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
