Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Punch Press Operator in Rogers, MN, to operate punch press machines in a fast-paced job shop. You will perform deburring, inspect stamped parts for quality, and hand off parts to the post-operation team while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires standing for long periods, reliability, and the ability to work across multiple machines and short-run jobs, with onsite work in a dimly lit fabrication setting.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience in a production environment.
• Experience operating punch press equipment preferred.
• Ability to operate punch presses in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic understanding of sheet metal handling and deburring.
• Strong attention to detail for visual inspection of parts.
• Follow safety protocols and work instructions consistently.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work with multiple machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch press machines safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Run different punch press machines throughout the day to support very short-run metal stamping jobs.
• Perform visual inspection of stamped parts to ensure quality.
• Hand off completed parts to the post-operation team for further processing.
• Handle sheet metal and perform basic deburring tasks as needed.
• Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality guidelines at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area around the punch press machines.
• Communicate any equipment issues, defects, or production concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.
• Demonstrate reliability and consistency to earn opportunities for training in punch press setups.
• Support overall production goals by meeting daily output and quality targets.
