Job summary

ELECTRO SWITCH BUSINESS TRUST is seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Press Setup Operator for our Rockland manufacturing facility. The role involves setting up and operating stamping presses, loading coils, and inspecting finished parts to ensure exact blueprints and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on press setup experience, knowledge of micrometers and calipers, and the ability to read blueprints. Safety and SPC documentation are essential in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or specialized training preferred.
• 1–3 years of press operation or metal stamping experience; die setup highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges).

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, specs, blueprints before production.
• Select, install, and set up dies for each order; adjust feeds and alignment.
• Load and handle coils up to 800 pounds with approved equipment.
• Set up and operate automatic/manual stamping presses; ensure safety equipment is installed.
• Inspect finished parts for conformance with specs using precision tools.
• Maintain SPC documentation and quality records.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and keep a clean, safe work area.
• Operate material-handling equipment and assist with related duties as needed.
