Mission Critical Group is seeking a Metal Shop Supervisor in Kentucky to lead a designated shift, drive throughput, and uphold safety and quality. You will oversee Metal Shop Leads and technicians, ensuring alignment with client specifications and company standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, continuous improvement, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet aggressive production deadlines in a demanding manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4–5 years in a manufacturing/production facility.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with hand and power tools, measurement devices, and reading blueprints.
• Bachelor’s or Technical College degree in a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Team Oversight: Lead and mentor Metal Shop Leads and personnel.
• Performance Accountability: Contribute to performance evaluations for the metal shop team.
• Talent Development: Identify training needs and facilitate growth.
• Talent Acquisition: Direct recruitment and onboarding for new hires.
• Continuous Improvement (Lean/Process): Design and implement production workflow enhancements.
• Facility Optimization: Propose floor layout changes to improve material flow.
• Quality Governance: Lead quality control program implementations.
• Asset Management: Establish preventive maintenance programs.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards and safety protocols.
• Site Stewardship: Manage opening/closing procedures and site safety.
• Operational Reporting: Maintain production metrics and reporting.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align shop activities with broader goals.
