Hammond Lumber Company in Palmyra, Maine, is seeking a Full-Time Metal Shop Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate multiple machines, fabricate to specifications, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while supporting a variety of duties on the shop floor.

Candidates should have metal machining experience, forklift familiarity, strong attention to detail, and good communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

• High level of customer service.
• Metal machining experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read, understand, and pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders and manufacture efficiently as part of the manufacturing team.
• Operate multiple machines and assist wherever needed.
• Maintain machines and workspace with safety in mind.
• Communicate with metals supervisor as part of the team.
• Fabricate according to specs using metal bending and cutting machines.
• Inspect loads and ensure security for delivery or transfer.
• Perform forklift safety inspections and load/unload operations.
