Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic shop skills and daily maintenance.
• Work independently on tasks related to metal fabrication.
• Operate production machinery safely.
• Assist in palletizing and creating shipments.
• Clean, maintain and sanitize the facility.
• Assist with light wiring or learn as needed.
• Operate production machinery when trained (e.g., metal saw).

Job description

Provide essential assistance to our metal fabrication team by assisting with basic shop skills of varying levels and helping with daily maintenance. Willingness to learn and grow in the career of metal fabrication in all forms.

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Familiarity with and able to use a variety of tools (or willing to learn)
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 25 feet
• Valid drivers license
• Capable of regularly lifting various sized materials up to 50 pounds
• Cut and build wood pallets and other light carpentry
• Ability to palletize and create shipments (or willing to learn)
• Load and unload finished products into and out of vehicles in a safe manner
• Ability to debur sharp edges or willingness to learn
• Clean, maintain and sanitize the facility
• Ability to do light wiring of components (or willing to learn)
• Ensure company policies are consistently followed

Ability to safely operate the following production machinery a plus:

• Metal Saw
• Press Brake
• Fork lift
• Hydraulic Turret Punch
• CNC/Plasma Table
• Experience with a Bridgeport milling machine
