Ryerson is seeking a Sales Engineer in the United States to engage with customers by phone and email, collaborating with internal and external partners to tailor product solutions. You will interpret documents, understand tolerances, and help create robust metal supply chains.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, preferably a Bachelor's in Engineering, with 1–3 years of metal sales experience and CAD or drafting skills. SAP experience and MS Office proficiency are highly valued.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of sales experience in the metal industry.
• Print reading is required; CAD or drafting experience a plus.
• Experience with SAP is highly preferred.
• MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret and qualify customer-provided documents such as prints, CAD files, and specifications.
• Understand tolerances, materials, specifications, and processing options for a robust metal supply chain.
• Manage part-specific supply chains with internal and external processing assets to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Estimate material, labor, and delivery options and develop pricing templates based on awarded work.
• Evaluate sales proposals for technical accuracy and alignment with quality standards.
• Conduct technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer-specific prices.
• All other duties as assigned.
