Ryerson is seeking a Sales Engineer to engage with customers by phone and email, collaborating with internal and external partners to tailor metal solutions. You will interpret drawings, CAD files and specifications, evaluate tolerances and processing options, and prepare pricing templates while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

A technical mindset and prior metal industry sales experience are highly valued.

Formación

• 1-3 years of sales experience in the metal industry.
• Print reading is required; CAD or drafting experience a plus.
• Proficient in SAP; MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills required.
• Engineering background preferred for technical engagement with customers.
• Experience in sales or customer service is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret and qualify customer-provided documents such as prints and CAD files
• Full understanding of tolerances, materials, specifications, and processing options that will guide a robust metal supply chain creation
• Manage part specific supply chains by utilizing internal and external processing assets to meet customer quality and delivery requirements
• Estimate material, labor, and delivery options on a part-level basis and develop contract pricing templates based on awarded work
• Evaluating sales proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization’s quality standards
• Conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer-specific prices
• All other duties as assigned
