Job summary

The Advance Group is hiring a Metal Parts/Fabricator for a Toledo-area manufacturer of retractable tarping systems for semi-trailers. In this role, you'll operate machines and saws to cut and bend metal parts used to build tarping systems. No welding experience is required, and training is available for candidates interested in learning new skills.

Schedule Monday–Friday, 1st shift typically 6:30 AM–3:00 PM. Pay is $18/hr for non-welders and $20/hr for welders.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, machine operation, metalworking, or fabrication experience is helpful.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.
• Able to read a ruler accurately and add and subtract fractions.
• Able to stand, bend, and kneel throughout the workday and lift up to 75lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and saws to cut and bend metal parts; potential to do minor welding also
• Measure materials accurately using a ruler and perform math with fractions
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete production tasks
• Follow work instructions and written orders
• Handle and move materials throughout the work area
• Inspect parts for quality and follow safe work practices
• Perform hands-on production work in a potentially dusty environment
