Job summary

The Advance Group is hiring a Metal Parts/Fabricator for a Toledo-area manufacturer of retractable tarping systems for semi-trailers. In this role, you'll operate machines and saws to cut and bend metal parts used to build tarping systems. No welding experience is required, and training is available for candidates interested in learning new skills.

Schedule Monday–Friday, 1st shift typically 6:30 AM–3:00 PM. Pay is $18/hr for non-welders and $20/hr for welders.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, machine operation, metalworking, or fabrication experience is helpful.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.
• Able to read a ruler accurately and add and subtract fractions.
• Able to stand, bend, and kneel throughout the workday and lift up to 75lbs.

Experience, Skills & Requirements

• Manufacturing, machine operation, metalworking, or fabrication experience is helpful
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required

• Comfortable learning to operate machines and saws
• Able to stand, bend, and kneel throughout the workday and lift up to 75lbs
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable performing repetitive tasks

Schedule Monday–Friday, 1st shift Typically 6:30 AM–3:00 PM Must be available to work until 4:00 PM and as early as 5:30 AM when overtime is needed Occasional Saturday overtime may be required

Pay $18/hr for non-welders, $20/hr for welders

Important Information Employees must purchase their own tools after hire. The estimated cost is $400–$500. Tools may be purchased independently or through payroll deduction with the employer.
