Job summary

Allegion in the United States is seeking a Hardware Machine Operator to set up and operate punching and pressing equipment, ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards. The role emphasizes safety, accountability, and teamwork in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment.

You will support continuous improvements, perform inspections, and maintain machine readiness while adapting to overtime and variable start times as volumes dictate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a high volume, fast paced production environment.
• 1+ year experience with light manufacturing machines such as: punches and presses.
• Metalworking / Hollow Metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Dexterous with manufacturing equipment, basic power tools and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines and maintain continuous workflow through adherence of documented processes.
• Produce parts utilizing the ‘top down’ production list.
• Assist with daily PM schedule for machine, manuals and procedures.
• Perform first part inspections as well as in-process quality checks.
