Job summary

Allegion in California is seeking a Hardware Machine Operator to set up and run punches and presses in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment. You will produce machined parts, perform first-piece checks, and support daily preventive maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of experience in high-volume production, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
• 1+ year experience with light manufacturing machines (punches and presses).
• Ability to read engineering documents and shop travelers.
• Dexterous with manufacturing equipment and basic tools.
• Knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate punches and presses to maintain workflow.
• Produce parts according to the production list and blueprints.
• Assist with daily PM schedule for machine, manuals and procedures.
• Perform first part inspections and in-process quality checks.
