Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years hands-on plating or metal finishing experience.
• 1+ year leadership/supervisory experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot plating issues with root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily plating department activities to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and high-quality output.
• Mentor and develop a team of technicians to foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee production scheduling and resource allocation to maximize throughput and meet operational goals.
• Perform regular technical audits of plating equipment and chemical processes to ensure peak efficiency.
• Drive waste reduction initiatives and implement process enhancements using root cause analysis methodologies.
• Manage comprehensive production documentation, including quality control logs, inventory tracking, and non-conforming product reports.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical bottlenecks and ensure seamless manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in metal finishing preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial plating or related metal finishing environments.
• 1+ year of demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Strong technical proficiency in blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and hazardous material handling.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex plating issues and utilize 5 Why/Root Cause Analysis techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment regulations and environmental compliance standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital production management tools.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts in a manufacturing setting.
