Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is seeking a Metal Finisher in Detroit Lakes, MN. Earn $18.00–$22.00 per hour with weekly pay, day shift, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM.

This temporary to full-time role supports a metal fabrication environment and involves deburring stainless steel parts and quality inspections. Responsibilities include operating the ARKU deburring machine, loading parts, inspecting quality, adjusting settings, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while meeting daily production

Responsibilities

• Sort and organize parts for efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily production goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.

What You'll Do as a Metal Finisher:

• Operate and monitor an ARKU deburring machine to remove burrs and sharp edges from stainless steel parts
• Load and unload stainless steel parts for processing
• Inspect finished parts for quality, imperfections, and compliance with specifications
• Adjust machine settings and assist with basic machine maintenance as needed
• Sort and organize completed parts for efficient workflow and processing
• Work with team members to meet daily production goals
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What You Need to Bring to the Metal Finisher Role:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to follow directions and multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for an entire shift
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep parts properly sorted and tracked
• Willingness to cross‑train and assist in other departments as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
