Job summary

Westmor Industries, Inc. in Morris, MN is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our production team. You will read blueprints, operate saws, presses, brakes and laser systems, and fit/assemble metal components with precision.

The ideal candidate has a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork in a collaborative shop environment.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Measure, cut, grind, fit and assemble metal components to exact specs.
• Read tape measure increments of 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" and convert fractions to decimals.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work orders to plan fabrication steps.
• Measure, cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal components to exact specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, press brakes, punch presses and laser systems.
• Inspect finished parts with precision measurement tools to meet quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with production and QA to maintain schedules and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace and follow PPE policies.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to join our production team. In this role, you will read blueprints, operate standard fabrication machinery (saws, presses, brakes, laser systems), and fit/assemble high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision workmanship, maintains a strong focus on safety, and thrives in a collaborative shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to plan fabrication steps.
• Measure, cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal components to exact specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, press brakes, punch presses, and laser cutting systems.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools to ensure they meet quality, dimensional, and safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with production and quality assurance teams to keep schedules on track.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace at all times.
• Follow all company safety guidelines, PPE policies, and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop operations.

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is $18-$22 per hour. Final compensation is based on skills, experience, qualifications, and work location.

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
