Job summary

Labconco Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of laboratory equipment, is seeking a Utility team member for our metal fabrication department. The role involves setting up and operating drill presses, clinch presses, deburring and finishing equipment, and using hand and power tools to produce parts meeting exact specifications.

You will read blueprints, use measuring devices, and collaborate with a diverse team to ensure quality production.

Qualifications

• Experience operating metal fabrication equipment, preferably with cold rolled and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and written instructions.
• Able to accurately use measuring devices and document results.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and software systems.
• Willingness to be flexible, handle pressure, and adapt to production needs.
• Excellent communication with diverse team members.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run limited machinery in the metal fabrication shop without supervision.
• Understand material types and how they affect fabrication processes.
• Read blueprints and instructions to produce parts that meet specifications.
• Use measuring devices to verify tolerances and quality.
• Suggest tools, materials, and methods for efficient production.
• Assist colleagues in problem identification and resolution.
