Labconco Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of laboratory equipment, is seeking a Utility team member for our metal fabrication department. The role involves setting up and operating drill presses, clinch presses, deburring and finishing equipment, and using hand and power tools to produce parts meeting exact specifications.

You will read blueprints, use measuring devices, and collaborate with a diverse team to ensure quality production.

Formación

• Experience operating metal fabrication equipment, preferably with cold rolled and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and written instructions.
• Able to accurately use measuring devices and document results.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and software systems.
• Willingness to be flexible, handle pressure, and adapt to production needs.
• Excellent communication with diverse team members.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and run limited machinery in the metal fabrication shop without supervision.
• Understand material types and how they affect fabrication processes.
• Read blueprints and instructions to produce parts that meet specifications.
• Use measuring devices to verify tolerances and quality.
• Suggest tools, materials, and methods for efficient production.
• Assist colleagues in problem identification and resolution.

Description

Labconco Corporation, a worldwide manufacturer of laboratory equipment, is seeking a Utility team member in our metal fabrication department, responsible for machinery setup and operation of drill press, clinch press, deburring, and finishing equipment, as well as the use of hand and power tools.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Setup and run without assistance limited machinery in the metal fabrication shop.
• Have knowledge of metal types and how it relates to the fabrication processes being performed.
• Read and understand blueprints, sketches, and other written instructions, etc.
• Accurately use all measuring devices in metal fabrication shop.
• Apply knowledge and understanding of above to the production of all parts (including rework, components for specials and customs) to result in finished part meeting specifications.
• Have a basic knowledge of computers and of using software systems.
• Exercise good judgment in the selection of tools, materials, and equipment to be used in the production operation.
• Help fellow employees in problem identification and resolution.

Other Duties

• Performs other job duties as assigned by Management.

Qualified candidates should have the following:

• Previous machine operation experience working with cold rolled and stainless steel, preferably.
• Ability to understand the product flow while maintaining the production of quality product.
• Be highly motivated with a strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively, professionally, and tactfully with a diverse workforce.
• Ability to be flexible, handle pressure, and stressful situations in a professional manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

Shift:

Monday – Thursday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, overtime as needed
