Aebi Schmidt USA is seeking a Machine Operator in Charlotte, MI to tend fabricating machinery and support production. This role requires reading blueprints, setting up equipment, and ensuring pieces meet specs.

You will operate various cutting, forming, and bending machines, inspecting parts, and performing minor maintenance as needed. The ideal candidate can lift up to 50 lbs, work independently, and navigate manufacturing software.

• Structured training or relevant work experience.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform basic math.

• Ability to learn and navigate manufacturing software.

Responsabilités

• Tends fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch, that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures by performing the following duties.
• Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops and guides to specified length as indicated.
• Position work pieces against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
• Push buttons or depress pedals to activate machines.
• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects and machine malfunction.
• Measure work piece dimensions with necessary tools.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust and scale from work pieces.
• Perform minor machine maintenance.
